South African Police support organised crime by supporting prohibition.

SAPS members attached to the Boland K-9 Dog Unit conducted successful search operations in Newton area, Mbekweni. At a well-known drug outlet in the area, the members seized a bag weighing about 28 kilograms of dagga with an estimated street value of R 41 000-00. A 31 year old male suspect was arrested and will appear in the Wellington Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of drugs.

SAPS members arrested 24 suspects for illegal possession of drugs. The suspects were arrested during stop and search operations as well as visiting well-known drug outlets in the policing cluster.
