Nasturtiums

Although the original nasturtiums were subtropical plants, they can be grown just about anywhere. These quick growing flowers vine out very fast and are even edible, adding a spicy bite to any salad. Grow and use nasturtiums in your garden this year.

Select a sunny spot. Nasturtiums thrive in spots where the sun shines at least six hours of the day. Nasturtiums that don't get as much sun will still grow, but they will not produce as well.

Do YOU BELIEVE in life after
delivery?

In a mother’s womb were
two babies. One asked the
other: “Do you believe in
life after delivery?” The
other replies, “why, of
course. There has to be
something after delivery.
Maybe we are here to
prepare ourselves for what
we will be later.
“Nonsense,” says the other.
“There is no life after
delivery. What would that
life be?” “I don’t know, but
there will be more light than
here. Maybe we will walk
with our legs and eat from
our mouths.” The other says
“This is absurd! Walking is
impossible. And eat with
our mouths? Ridiculous. The
umbilical cord supplies
nutrition. Life after delivery
is to be excluded. The
umbilical cord is too short.”
“I think there is something
and maybe it’s different
than it is here.” the other
replies, “No one has ever
come back from there.
Delivery is the end of life,
and in the after-delivery it is
nothing but darkness and
anxiety and it takes us
nowhere.” “Well, I don’t
know,” says the other, “but
certainly we will see mother
and she will take care of
us.” “Mother??” You believe
in mother? Where is she
now? “She is all around us.
It is in her that we live.
Without her there would not
be this world.” “I don’t see
her, so it’s only logical that
she doesn’t exist.” To which
the other replied,
“sometimes when you’re in
silence you can hear her,
you can perceive her.” I
believe there is a reality
after delivery and we are
here to prepare ourselves
for that reality…. …read more

Pregnant Mother Arrested for Drug Trafficking {Namibia}

Windhoek — A heavily expectant 31-year-old mother was arrested over the weekend with two men in Otjiwarongo after being found in possession of 14 parcels of cannabis with a street value of N$28 000.

It is alleged that the trio drove on Sunday night from Windhoek to deliver the dagga parcels in Otjiwarongo.

Without their knowledge that the police had followed them from Windhoek, they stopped in Hage Geingob Street in Otjiwarongo. The police search of the vehicle revealed 14 parcels of dagga stuffed in bags hidden under the seats.

The pregnant woman, who is the owner of the vehicle, was arrested around 03h04 with two men aged 21 and 30. The trio are expected to appear in the Otjiwarongo Magistrate’s Court today.

In an unrelated incident, three armed men allegedly robbed a farm owner of his .357 revolver, two cellphones, a wallet containing N$2 200 and his Land Rover car keys in Otavi district after pretending to be police officers and ordering they be allowed to search his house.

It is reported that three suspects entered farm Eeerstelimg some 65 kilometres outside Otavi on Thursday at around 19h30. The trio allegedly arrived at the farm dressed in civilian clothes driving a white sedan vehicle whose green number plates depicted that of a government registered car.

“They came to the farm owner who was with his friend at the time and introduced themselves as members of the Namibian Police. They produced police appointment certificates after they informed the owner that they were doing inspection for illegal firearms. They were taken to the safe inside the house. One of them then pointed a gun at the farm owner and his friend,” Deputy Commissioner Moses Khairabeb, the Otjozondjupa regional crime investigation coordinator said yesterday. Khairabeb said the three suspects locked the 62-year-old farm owner and his 41-year-old friend in the toilet before they fled with stolen items.

The suspects were still at large.

“Farm owners and business people must be careful about criminals entering their places pretending to be police officers. If they suspect something they must call the nearest police station or alert their neighbours,” he warned.

We see the parallels here at DC central as plain as day. All that ‘useless stoner’ derogatory talk, dagga bashing and general vilification of cannabis users. Moral and ideological hate speech.

R1.2m dagga bust in Uitenhage

CAPE TOWN – The police’s dog unit has seized more than 620 kilograms of dagga with an estimated street value of more than R1.2 million in Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape on Saturday.

It’s understood police stopped a vehicle that was being towed and pulled it off the road.

They then found 30 bags of dagga in the vehicle.

The police’s Basil Seekoei says, “We haven’t arrested anyone at this moment because the explanation of the tow truck driver is that he was told that bakkie was full of clothes.

“We are busy with further investigations.”
