European Parliament challenges the European patent Office: Patents on plants & animals block innovation, access to essential
plant & animal genetic resources, & impede farmer‘s activities & freedom of choice. They enable market concentration, hamper competition & promote unjust monopoly rights. Such patents become a tool of misappropriation and Biopiracy.
