Cooking tip: Soak Your Grains. Why? It unlocks nutrients. And reduces cooking time, thus saving money & resources.

Do you soak your whole grains (quinoa, brown rice, barley etc.) before cooking? Soaking overnight in water with a bit of acid (lemon juice, vinegar, etc) helps to "unlock" nutrients in the grains and makes them more nutritious and healthful for us (traditional methods to do this also include fermenting, sprouting, and nixtamalization).
