Lots of Dagga Confiscated

PABALLELO: The first incident was when a member of the Paballelo Detective Division, Constable Thabapelo received information that dagga is being sold from a house in Silvia street in Paballelo. Crime Prevention’s Sergeant Linton Beerwinkel and his team, Constables George Steenkamp, Kagiso Methle, Bongani Oliphant and Hanna Dawids reacted quickly after Sergeant Beerwinkel applied for a search warrant. Upon arrival at the house no-one was home, but upon searching the premises a Shoprite bag and a suitcase full of dagga was found in a back toilet and confiscated. No arrests were made but good leads are being followed up. The dagga weighed 5,116 kg and the value is estimated at R25 580.
