168 Kilograms of Dagga confiscated in Vryburg
On Saturday, 9 November 2013, at around 18:00, a member of K9 Vryburg Unit received information that a vehicle, with a load of dagga, was travelling from Taung in the direction to Vryburg.
A vehicle check point was set up on the Taung/Vryburg road where a Nissan double cab vehicle was stopped and searched. Upon searching the vehicle, members of Vryburg SAPS found 24 bags as well as 36 arms of dagga in the back of the vehicle. About 168 kg of dagga was confiscated valued at about
R504 000-00.
Two male suspects were arrested, one in his 20’s and the other in his 50’s. One suspect is allegedly from Lesotho. They were arrested for dealing in dagga. The suspects will appear in the Vryburg Regional Court today, 12 November 2013.
