Kimberley – Modderriver-Police are investigating a case of possession of dagga after a 34 year-old male was arrested on Wednesday at approximately 23:50pm.
“The police were busy with routine patrols when they spotted two suspicious men standing at the bus stop near the Modderiver/Ritchie crossing” lieutenant Sergio Kock said.
Northern Cape police said one of the two men fled through a nearby veld.
The police found 3 bags(one luggage bag, one tog bag and one plastic bag) with the suspects. The bags contained dagga weighing approximately 20kg and has a street value of R100 000,00. “The suspect will be appearing in the Modderivier Magistrates Court soon” Kock said.-TDN
