So this requires that the maize is quarantined in lots especially for us, as well as tested during the year for verification. As only a miniscule percentage of maize in SA is in fact GMO free, this is a ongoing challenge. Our tests mean the maize has to be a permitted % GMO free. The chips are tested locally and checked by the EU when we export. We also supply Woolies who enforce a strict GMO policy.
