The Netherlands is by now, firmly on the map of world cannabis reform. But there is a problem. Their 40 year old decriminalisation program is not working in the long run. As with all decrim programmes, the people may stay out of jail – but nothing addresses the supply chain. Where is the weed coming from?
25 Dutch Mayors think they have the answer:

School chases away kid with dreadlocks

By ZIPO-ZENKOSI NCOKAZI

Mom lodges complaint saying Rastafarians don’t cut hair.

A CHILD of five has been denied schooling because of his dreadlocks. The child’s mother, Nangamso Makasi said she and her son Yola – who attends King’s College, a private primary school in East London – felt the school had treated her and her child unfairly.

“I was called into the office three days after Yola started school and told that his hairstyle was unacceptable.

“Either his hair was cut or I removed him from the school,” said Makasi.

She said she was dismissed when she argued that dreadlocks were part of her religion.

“I am Rastafarian and so is my child; I tried to explain to the principal that my religion did not allow us to cut our hair.

“It was at that point that he asked for my bank details saying he would refund me my money,” she said.

Makasi said she felt discriminated against because of her religion.

“What upsets me even further is that they did not communicate the hair issue to me before enrolling my child.

“They saw him when we came to apply for admission but no one indicated that his hair would be an issue. I find that deceitful and unhelpful,” said Makhasi.

ACCESS DENIED: Nangamso Makasi is furious that her son Yola, a Grade R learner at King’s College was turned away from the school because of his dreadlocks. She has lodged a complaint with the Human Rights Commission Picture: SINO MAJANGAZA …read more

Four pesticides commonly used on crops to kill insects and fungi also kill honeybee larvae within their hives, according to Penn State and University of Florida researchers. The team also found that N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) — an inert, or inactive, chemical commonly used as a pesticide additive — is highly toxic to honeybee larvae.

A new debate in cannabis land is raging. Ever since CNN’s chief neurosurgeon Sanjay Gupta praised the CBD rich ‘Charlotte’s Web’ ganga strain for seisures in children, the world has gone mad for CBD.
Hang on a minute. What about THC? Is THC a vital component in the healing process, or is being ‘stoned’ too dangerous?
What is your view on the subject? Is science messing with an already perfectly balanced plant medicine? Is breeding out the THC some sort of moral issue?
The whole plant = whole medicine as far as we’re concerned.
What’s your take on the subject?

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!

MUST WATCH

At long last I am seeing media outlets actually address the most fundamental questions and issues… the tough ones. The questions asked and challenges posed here go to the heart of the issues I have been raising for many, many years. Here we see the fundamental questions raised by the Peak Oil movement 10 and 15 years ago presented in the starkest and clearest ways. These questions are so much more penetrating now that we are also experiencing the real life consequences of an economic paradigm that is “eco-suicidal” and homicidal.

Talking about anything less than these issues is now beginning to be seen as delusional madness.
